How can I fdisk without DOS? i've got no OS on my hdd and I want to wipe it clean, do I have to put it on another PC to wipe it? Also, where can I download DOS from? i've checked a few sites and they don't give much away.

how about formatting ?, dont you have a boot floppy, this usually has about 20 basic comands such as fdisk and format on it. If not you must be able to get an old version of DOS from somewhere (Kazaa ?) - I have DOS 5 on three floppy's from 1992 (hey they might be worth something ?)
You can download a DOS bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com (go for the Win98 2nd edition), which will have fdisk on it.

Linux didn't seem to do that, kept saying it wasn't mounted properly.
