It appears that a newspaper back in Ruud's home-country Holland has quoted van Nistelrooy as saying that he would like to return to Dutch Football with his former club PSV Eindhoven in 2005, as club captain.
However, both van Nistelrooy and his agent are yet to have confirmed this themselves.
Now I'm not trying to call this a load of old cobblers or anything, as it's understandable that any player who loved one club so-dearly, scoring goal-after-goal, would love to return to that same side in the future to relive some of those good-old memories as a much-improved, bigger player.
Otherwise, why did Teddy Sheringham leave the wealth and experience of Old Trafford and Manchester United for boring-old, going-nowhere, Tottenham Hotspur??
But 2005?? Seems a bit soon to me...
But at least we United fans have nothing to worry about now.
Thankfully, our most consistant out-and-out-striker is happier than ever with Beckham and co. at United with his eyes set on the Champions' League, along with the Premiership, FA Cup, and even the Worthington Cup, as we know from past-performances that he'll score as-many-as-he-can in order to get us the silverware we desire!
Long-live Ruud van Nistelrooy!
Even if he may be gone again in another few years...
especially if we win something this season.
