Bergkamp fined by FA chiefs
Dennis Bergkamp will be available for Arsenal's festive programme after the FA found him guilty of improper conduct and fined him £5,000.
The Dutchman had been charged with misconduct after allegedly stamping on Blackburn defender Nils-Eric Johansson during the Premiership game between the two clubs in October.
And the Gunners feared they would lose their influential playmaker to a three-match ban.
However, following Thursday's disciplinary hearing at Soho Square, FA chiefs decided to fine Bergkamp and warn him of his future conduct.
An FA statement read: "We can confirm that Arsenal's Dennis Bergkamp has been found guilty of improper conduct at a disciplinary hearing in relation to an incident involving Blackburn Rovers' Nils-Eric Johansson during the match at Highbury on 26 October.
"He was fined £5,000 and warned as to his future conduct."
And it's not like a verbal warning's gonna actually make him listen either!
When will the FA realise that they're not actually punishing players unless they suspend them from playing??
They must like the way Bergkamp plays or something...!
I think this deserves one big EH?!
