"Music...."

Ok, everytime I turn the tv over from one channel to another there is always a mention of those stupid pop idol rival bands. Same thing happens on the radio.
I know it is all for the marketing and advertising so that people buy it.

I know there are many on here who ignore it all and listen to *decent* music. Now I am a music fan, I like all sorts of music from the past to the present and I am all for having a personal taste and everyone is different.

But one thing I am not for is people being told to listen too. There will be people out there who only ever here music from the pop chart, only listen to manufactured dancers who sing and sometimes mime. This is not what music is and hopefully not what it will become.

I for one am hoping that neither of them get the number one spot. Hightly doubt that will happen, so much money went into the show, the making of the bands etc that if neither got it surely it is a failure. So it is likely with all the marketing, air play etc one of them will get it.

So the point of all this is to name a band that are worth listening too, a band you like and a band maybe others have never heard off. After all music is about the lyrics and notes. Not the crap for making shows and selling singles.

So name the music worth listening too.

I'm getting two of their CDs. If they ever get sent to me. Record label (based in Sweden) has sent them, but it's been over a week and still nothing in the post... *shakes fist at postal service*

The girls one came on in the car. My girlfriend wanted me to try work out the guitar rift in it.
Didn't listen to enough to find out.

I saw them on that Channel 4 pop program yesterday morning. Bad teeth.

I haven't heard either of the Popstars singles. That's how cool I am.

Actually, I have only ever bought one single in my life - which was Paranoid Android, because of the superb B-sides. I can't really be bothered buying any more, but as I say, the Death in Vegas one is good enough.

Yes. Buy the Death in Vegas single.
