yes now. Hewitt isn't as good as Sampras in comparison to his generation. Anyone in the top 10000 players in the country would cane fred perry if they went back in time and that includes the women. All sports are constantly evolving. Hewitt has nobody to test himself against as we are in quite a poor generation at the moment. Sampras had agassi, ivanisevic and Boris "five seconds" becker. There is no elite group at the moment as we are just leaving behind the previous generation, with in the next 3 or so years a new top group will form out of the next generation players and we will see if hewitt has what it takes to match sampras' acheivements.
Hewitt would beat Sampras in a tennis match
