Okay - no "Defiant/Falcon is the best because it just is" type crap, lets see you lot weigh up the good & bad points of BOTH ships when placed in a combat situation. Consider the following:
1)Weapons
2)Defensive Abilities
3)Special features (cloaking device or lightspeed)
4)Crew
5)Survival factor (1 to 10)
Use all the evidence you can find from Film and TV in both TREK and WARS. You could also consider possible mis-match battles, eg: Imperial Star Destroyer VS USS Excelsior.
Lets hear what you have to say!!!

Yep, I saw this yesterday and whilst this film was enjoyable it certainly does not deserve a standing ovation; at least not in my opinion on the first watch.

The cast was amazing but the plot itself did not move me and perhaps directors of the Coens calibre should search for or write edgier more radical stuff. Perhaps I have hit on something there – they have written some good scripts but how many great scripts does one person other than Charlie Kaufman have in them? Perhaps they should be engaging with or nurturing some new (young) talent in the screenwriting department.

It was certainly an enjoyable watch. However, Inot so sure that it will go down as one of the more memorable Coen efforts. It would have been quite interesting to see how the film would have been received if it were released before No Country for Old Men, as could have well been the case. It's much better than both Intolerable Cruelty and The Ladykillers, but it's not in the same league as Bloodsimple, Miller's Crossing or No Country; although you could argue that it's really not meant to be. I suppose the real shame is that it's not in the same league as The Big Lebowski... which it clearly was meant to be.

Notable if only for the the amount of times that John 'Horatio' Malkovich says 'what the f**k?'

And thankfully much much better than Raising Arizona *shudders*

I went to see this on Wednesday night and I still can't get over how good this film was. John Malkovich and Frances McDormand totally blew me away and Brad Pitt totally stole the show along with some bumbling CIA agents.

I felt like I'd been through the emotional wringer by the end of it, seriously. One minute I was laughing, the next I was gasping in shock. If the Coens keep making films like this I'll be a very happy person.

When it ended people in the audience actually got up and clapped. Go and see it now!
