Riiiight, My dads all confused, and I couldn't be bothered to ask someone at work how to do this cause i woulda forgotten, but anyways....

Is it possible to have a dial up connection and a cable broadband connection on the same PC?

Not that I'd ever want to though.

With my modem (plugged into the USB port) I have got to turn off it's power before the dial-up connection will work...

I can still dial up but my computer will still use the USB modem until it's turned off when it will then use the dial-up method...

You can alternate between connections but you can't have 2 on at the same time...

Wicked, thanx, s'just my dads asked me to design a web site for his fire station and i bought the domain from freeola. Dun wanna change ISP's 'cause i like my connection just how it is =)...

As long as you have the required equipment, I would think so, yes.

I have ADSL Broadband Modem and a Dial-Up Modem, and both work as they should nicely :o)
