I think that the most 'magical' Christmas that I have had was when I received Nights and the 3D analogue pad from my Mum and Dad as a Christmas present BECAUSE SR didn't have any Fifa '98s in stock for the Saturn! It was the most amazing game I had ever played, something completely different and in it's own genre completely. Does anyone remember this game? This was then accompanied by Christmas Nights, which was practically the same, just a lot shorter (1 level in fact) but was really festively good. You could even open your Christmas presents in the game!
This year I have bought Samba de Amigo complete with Maracas and Dance mat, and I'm sure it will make the whole family laugh for a long time. Sonic team are the best developers in the world and I thank them in advance for such superb Christmas games.
(If you've never heard of the above games, especially Christmas Nights, it is because not many games were made)

But, I did get Donkey Kong Country for the Super NES one year, that was probably my favourite Video Game pressie. With Afterburner on the Master System coming in at a close second.

I have in the past got some great titles. When I got my Game Boy I had Tetris, Super Mario Land, Nintendo World Cup and WWF Challenge.
The year I got my Master System I had Alex Kidd( buit in), Olympic Gold and Sonic 2. For my SNES got Street Fighter II Turbo which was excellent.
Then I got an Amiga 500+ with loads of games. The best being Another World and suprisingly The Addams Family.
The best game I got though would probably be Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II for PC. It remains the best Star Wars game yet!! Got Virtual Springfield the same year and that was alright but just a novelty.
This year I dont care what I get as long as I get at least one!! preferably Driver 2, Alien Resurrection (PSX), Le Mans, Space Race (DC), or Cannon Fodder (GBC).
I remember NiGHTS, never owned a Saturn so didnt have it but did play it round a mates house. Brilliant game and almost worth buying a Saturn for - Wish they would release a DC version of it though!!
