Cherie Blair woke up today to face fresh allegations about her business dealings and her personal life, when Bob Carolgees, armed with a pitchfork, insisted that the PM's wife was, in fact, a witch.
"I mean, look at her black hair and pointy chin, she may as well be carrying a broomstick!" said Bob, who was wearing odd socks, one florescent green, the other florescent yellow.
Spit the dog nodded in agreement.
All of this comes at the end of a difficult week for Cherie, after Australian con-man Peter Foster revealed that she had enlisted him to help with the sale of her soul to Satan.
This latest revelation couldn't come at a worse time for Labour, as opposition leader Iain Duncan Smith has long been trying to hire a Witch Master General to purge the Houses of Parliament of Satanism, Luciferism and Necromancy. This is certain to tip the balance in his favour, and Leicester City manager Peter Taylor could take on this new role early in the New Year.
Hart to Hart’s Max, Lionel Sander, has added further evidence to the case against Cherie.
"It's quite apparent that she got involved with Mr Blair because of the connection with the Blair name, famous from that Blair Witch movie, which came about long after her marriage. What more evidence do we need?"
Tony was quick to jump to his wife’s defence, but it's quite possible that he has only succeeded in making things worse.
