I'm thinking of getting an iPod for Windows pretty soon but have one doubt. I don't know if my PC has a firewire port to connect the iPod and transfer.

Where is the Firewire slot on the Motherboard if it has one?

I think I may be right in saying that I do have one as the PC was bought in 2000. Or do all PC's have them? :-S

Thanks in advance.

You can just get 'add-on' card like cjh suggested, I think the Firewire thingies cost around £15, they just slot into a PCI slot on your motherboard and hey presto.

Ah ok thanks guys.

I was looking at that card earlier today and shouldn't make too much of a hole in the waller this Christmas.

Er, not Terramax. I can't remember the exact name, but they're the rivals to Creative Audigy's. I'll get the name if you really want...

To be fair, some Terramax soundcards have them too if you get the bay thing, as do the bayports for some Asus motherboards.

Very, very few PCs have one. If you have an Audigy Soundcard, they have one on, or else you'll need an add on card.

I know most laptops have them as standard now, but PC's ... I'm not to sure.

If your PC doesn't have oen though, you can buy them as PCI Cards.
