God (Morgan Freeman) is fed up with people blaming him for everything that goes wrong in their lives instead of taking responsibility for themselves. So he takes the worst offender, Bruce (Jim Carey), and bestows all his powers on Bruce for a week with the bet he can't answer a prayer within that week.

Sounds like a good concept that will fail. Replace Morgan Freeman with Chris Rock and Carrey with Jason Lee, and you've got a winner. No, really.
As long as Carrey doesn't go over the top, it should be an amusing couple of hours.
Been a little disappointed with his latest efforts though. Hopefully Freeman will be the saving grace although it sounds a bit like he'll be in the beginning and the end, whereas the middle will be all Carrey.
