Both Danny Mills and Alan Smith are demanding 100% pay increases at Leeds.
That will put second rate defender Mills on £40,000 a week. Not bad for a defender who is doing so well for his club that their current form is a cert for relegation.
The club has £60million in debts, and having to fork out ludicrous amounts of money on two greedy players who feel they deserve more money just because they have made it into the England squad a few times is likely to kill the club off, and Venables will almost definitely have to sell players come January.
Nevermind that in my opinion, neither Mills or Smith have what it takes to deserve a chance at putting on an england shirt.
I think the overinflated egoist attitude of some of today's football is what is killing the game. It's absolutely disgusting.

I agree with Malcior. BUT so what leeds are in a bad position it can only get better. Leeds are super.END OF STORY

I thought Mills did alright for England going forward as a right-back, but on the defensive side he was poor. But I thought Smith played alright for England, and he does have a lot of potential for the future.
But even with that in mind, no player - let-alone these 2 - deserves to earn that much money!!

I completely agree with you IB. If I had the chance to help my club by taking a pay cut, I'd do it. Surely, it should be about the football and not the money...
