Where do you shop for all your PC and console games??

Do you use the Internet because it's cheaper??
Do you use your local store because you can take it home straight away??
Do you shop for games using your TV??

There are loads of ways to shop for your treasured video games.
Personally, I use the Internet, as it's a lot cheaper, the delivery is normally very fast, you can pre-order games as well.

Some people use shops though, as they are loyal, and want to take their games home straight away. But I still think that Internet shopping is becoming more popular.

With the Internet and Interactive TV revolution, are game shops becoming less needed, and in a few years time, will companies like GAME shut down some of thier stores, as they are not being used enough??
Perhaps some companies will follow the ways of Simply Games and others like that, and become Internet based stores.

At the moment, game stores are still needed, as not everyone has the Internet or Interactive TV, but in the future, you never know...

Thanks for reading, Ant.

I order 95% of my software from Special Reserve. Cheaper, easier and the delivery is very good. Another bonus is that you can pre-order items months in advance. I pre-ordered my PS2 from here way back in March and that arrived with me on launch day which I am very proud of. I shall do the same with the GBA once they take orders and possibly the Gamecube in the future.
Its very rare that I buy games from local video gaming shops. Sometimes they have good deals like buy two PSX games for £40, I usually take advantage of offers like that. Other times its just a spur of the moment thing, last time was with Shenmue - I was going to buy it eventually but seeing it on the shelf just waiting to be bought was enough to tempt me. It was out a couple of days early and I was suprised to see it on the shelf, it was sold out within 24 hours so I made the right decision as its a must have game!!
I have tried a few other web sites, some are reliable, some not so reliable - I wont mention any names. I have yet to try TV interactive shopping, to be honest I would rather keep using the internet as it seems to be the easiest way.

I get my console games from SR 90% of the time because of the savings. I will occasionally pick up a game on impulse while I'm in a shop, but that's pretty rare.

My PC games I'm not so fussed about. Recently, SR's prices for PC games aren't particularly competitive; in fact, my local Game store often has PC titles for slightly less than SR. So it's probably 50/50 for PC games.

I buy 99% of my DVD's online from DVDplus; the other 1% I'll get from anywhere that has a special offer on that beats the equivalent price at DVDplus.

For everything else, I always try to find it online somewhere first, as it's usually significantly cheaper. Last Xmas I bought my mum a 14-inch TV/Video combo online (from a reputable company), as it was over £70 cheaper than anywhere else!

For this Xmas, I've bought *everything* via the internet, apart from one present and the Xmas cards. It's all cheaper, and it certainly beats queuing!

Why, SR of course.

Actually I'm not really in a possition to buy many games, but my brother gets most of his games from SR, but will pick up the odd bargain in shops when available.
