I posted this in PC Gaming but thought it might interest some of you non-pc gamers.
Square have released a benchmark test to see if your PC will be upto playing the game (Out Q3 2003)

basically, this will test graphics/cpu processing power and give you a becnhmark score.
Scores:
Under 1500 = PC not powerful enough
1500-3000 = Will play OK
3000+ = Good Detal Levels
4000+ = Able to play in hi-res with bump mapping etc

Finally downloaded it (PC Zone servers are slowest in the world), unzipping and get error message:
Error: The system cannot find the file specified.
Cannot create c:\unzipped \FFXiBench\FFXiBench\gp_.txt
(I've added a space)
Anyone else have this problem or has anyone actually got this benchmark to run ??
