The Sims 2 was better, but it was basically the same game.
As a time-management puzzle it was fun. I could never get into the 'people' side of it, just bought the required things and moved on to the next level.
It was getting the balance right that was the challenge, everything else was just extremely shallow extras. Fiddling about with the decor? Not for me thanks.
