Saw it today, started off alright and it was pretty interesting until it went into the deep stuff, changing into psychopaths and all that.
But it just wasn't scary enough, no shocks or anything, just the insane actions of soldiers. Probably the best part of the film was the end bit, where there's a certain dé ja vu of the whole event.
It's just another great example of a trailer running your expectations wild.
Starts off between this battle between the english and the germans. The english charge in and get shot to pieces, and then this gas goes off, and they shout 'gas gas' and they start putting on gas masks. Then it all goes black and when it returns there's just a small group of men walking through some forresty bit. One guy falls over and his mask comes off, he starts gagging, but then stops when he realises it's only fog. Then they all take their masks off and continue walking.
Then one guy says 'what happened to the fight?' and other guy 'what happened to the night?'
Well the keep on walking until they come to a trench with these 3 guys in it. They shout at them and tell them to put their hands up. Then one of the men jumps in and starts beating the c##p outta them. They then decide that they have to hold this trench cos they've captured this german trench, and they should wait until backup comes...
...blah blah...
They all end up just killing each other and ... well I won't ruin it for anyone who actually wants to see it.
