Is it just my VMU or did yours run out of battery very quickly after a game was played on it. My battery for my VMU ran out after 3 days when I was playing the chao game on sonic adventure

In sleep mode the battery still runs down

Only because it stops the connection between the battery and the circuit, thus turning off the power. You can't play anything with the 'slip' in though. Just making sure it's turned off (into sleep mode) has the same effect, but you really do have to remember to take it out of the controller. I think I left mine in it today.

Yep, they eat batteries for breakfast. The trick is not to leave it in the controller when you turn the DC off as the VMU stays on and uses the battery. This will prolong the life a bit more, but they still run out fast, and at £4 a pair their not cheap either.
