Not one to miss a trick, Sony have seen how popular the idea of downloading retro games has been on Xbox Live Arcade and the potentially fantastic line-up on the Wii Virtual Console. They're so impressed that they've apparently made inroads with Sega to publish titles from the Megadrive to download on the PS3's hard drive.
The news in the TGS keynote speech may have been overshadowed by the Japanese price drop, but it bodes well for those getting a PS3 but eager not to miss out on the retro scene.
