Why isn't the Dreamcast getting a mention? At half the price of the PS2, and with games like shenmue, Quake III, Jet Set Radio, AND facilities like online gaming, why should you splash out on a PS2 and it's crap release games (apart form SSX and timespliters)

You know, just the other day I thought I'd be getting a PS2, but then the wife 'suggests' that I have far too many consoles in the living room and all those wires look horrible.
So it turns out that I would be very very lucky to get away with owning any more consoles in the near future. But she may just change her mind when I say I'm getting rid of the N64, it's 'her' console.

Ironically the boucer didn't get a good reception from famitsu... the scores were 7,7,8,9 a total of 31/40. The reviewers said that it had a simplistic story. In the same issue, Phantasy star online got 9,9,9,10! It got the platinum award, and is a must have online title!

Oh yea, not ALL PS2 games are crap. I mean, look at the future. With GT2, MGS2, Star Wars, The Bouncer and lots more, its gonna be a terrific battle between the DC and PS2.
The Dreamcast IS getting a say. At the moment it has the best games, you can actually BUY one (unlike the PS2), and its doing very well. And as well as all that- Sega DESERVE it.
Anyway, the reason for getting both is so that I can play the PS2 and then diss the DC more authoritatively.

Keyword here is 'future'. Which has the longer lifespan, the PS2 or the DC? With The Bouncer, Final Fantasy, SSX, Time Splitters, Codemasters, Square, EA et all signed up already, the future looks brighter for the PS2. Hence I will be getting both. Work that one out.
I think it's been discussed far too many time on here already!
