It's like reading "Goatboy in the Land of Pixies and Fairies".
Thomas Covenant is a leper who gets thrown into a far-flung world, a place called "The Land", and he hates EVERYTHING in it.
"Grrr, I won't help you"
"Don't touch me"
etc.
His attitude is much like I would expect Goatboy to be if he landed himself in a similar situation...
Basic idea is, Covenant is a leper in modern america. Outcast by his fellow humans, one day he is transported to "The Land". He firmly believes he is just losing his mind, and goes into a state of denial to keep himself sane. There is a nasty man called Lord Foul who is going to rise up and destroy all life in The Land, and you guessed it, only Covenant can stop him.
There are some typically fantasy elements in it. Magic Lords, grass that heals, sprites, giants etc. But Covenant is just absolute class. His leprosy has made him impotent, and when he reaches the Land, his impotency disappears, so he thinks it's just a dream, and rapes the first girl who comes along as proof of it.
Of course, he later comes to regret this...
Who's it by?
Better not be no big gay pixies in it though
