I'm not a particularly big fan of music, especially most of the dross in the charts, but I saw something today flicking through the channels that frightened me to the core.

It was a 'song' by the Cheeky Girls, imaginatively titled 'Cheeky Girls -Touch My Bum (that adds so much credibility, don't you think? Who do they think they are, Meatloaf?) or something. Basically, it was the biggest pile of crap I have ever heard, apparently the lyrics were written by their mum (she must be the only one who can write), and an album is 'in the works'. If utterly talentless people like this are the ones that seem to attain 'celebrity' status, or make money for this, then I feel sorry for every genuine learner of music.

If this gets anywhere in the charts, then I seriously fear for the future of the human race.

didn't the day Mr Blobby go top of the charts give you any hint on the state of the British music buyers mind?

Sadly it almost certainly will get #1 on Sunday. I'd never heard of it until I put the thing out on the shelves Sunday night, is it just me or are the two on the cover more "slapper girls" than cheeky girls ? Has to be one of the most horrid covers this year !

"And now here's this weeks Number One... The Porntroopers with 'Wag My Lightsabre' - I don't know about you, but I love this band!"

Cue all of us prancing around stage in Stormtrooper helmets with Mario tache's pasted on the front, wearing only dodgy stained Y-fronts and Jesus sandles.

We could have more members (ahem) than Blazin' Squad.

You don't like it, you don't listen to it.
*shrugs*

Not impressed when they put it on in a club last weekend, but if you really care that much you can go somewhere they play different music.

But of course you're all absolutely right, the type of music you personally like should be the only kind that should be released ever.

Cheeky Girls.

Insult to the music industry, they sound foreign and the song is so uncoardinated. They look like twin sisters, yet they are more than happy to rub each other.

Same as other crappy pop bands such as the notoriously hard Blazin Squad (yeah right, they are still waiting for their testicles to drop yet everyone loves em)

Throw in Red Hot Chilli Peppers, System of a Down and Korn into todays chart and i'll be fine.

Music in general isn't what it once was. Maiden, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana... All we have that is TRUE brilliance today is Muse.
