Oh, how I laughed. But, my advice to her? Accept the fact that they are manufactured and refrain from speaking in public. If they must, then at least employ someone with a frickin' brain because this muppet obviously doesn't have a clue. So by her logic, bands like The Hives, Tool, Oasis, Massive Attack etc. Are all creations, conceived by a bunch of Record-Label bigwigs eh? Moron. What made me snigger is that the ol' chesnut stereotypical comment that I've heard time and time again; "We are not just another manufactured band... . Right, sure your not sweetie. You've performed on the "Toilet Circuit" earning your credentials haven't you or is it more of a case of you and thousands of others went to a TV audition looking to be "flavour of the month" that we'll all forget about soon enough?
Popstars, Fame Academy and any incarnation under the same guise is the epitome of everything that's wrong with the music industry today. I know it's been said a billion times, so here it is again. There's a thousand-odd bands out there, who've been playing "the circuit" for a while now. Bands with integrity and talent, who might not ever get heard. But these Popstar "hopefuls" are just that. They might be able to hold a note, which takes talent, don't get me wrong. But writing a song that means something to you? That takes everything you have IMO.

Musicians will always do their thing, be it at Wembley or in front of 20 people in a pub - celebs have to exist in front of an audience or they die
