I have two files (partial downloads - DAT files) when moving them to another computer I thought I could just copy them from a CD into "my shared folder" and Kazaa would pick them up and allow me to continue downloading them but this isn't the case, any idea why ?

Shouldn't. I myself have done the same thing. The DAT files should be in what's specified as the download directory, are you sure the new Kazaa is looking there?
I've swapped from Kazaa to Kazaa Lite, does ths make a difference ?
To be honest i dont know but it could be because ur using kazaa lite as ive done the same thing before but with kazaa not kazza lite and it worked for me then.
