I've just finished my term at Uni, and am going home shortly to my Parents...they havent got the internet though so I may not be back until early January.

Hi, The coucil tax and waste tax of about 140 Leva a year is payable from April each year at the council offices, OBSHTINA NESSEBAR, which is a short walk away in the new town. I guess that someone in the office will tell you where it is. Alternatively Legal Independence will pay it for you for a very generous er 140 Leva
Sorry cant tell you how much the tax is as i havent paid it, the management company who service my apartment will pay it on my behalf when it is due.

Hi Derek, could you give me some information on the tax payment that you mentioned, how much is it and wonder why i wasn,t told about this when i was in with the orlin boy...but that doesn,t surprise me ...marty

I managed to get orlin to deliver my card to the vigo hotel while i was on holiday. But would never have known of this bulstat card untill someone at the swimming pool told me, you would think orlin and legal independance would have mentioned this to us, not leave it up to us to ask them for it.
by the way the office for paying your tax isnt to far from panorama beach,its down by the shops in new nessebar. A 10 minute walk.

Someone referred to a BULSTAT card in a previous email in relation to council tax, which worried me a bit as I have never heard of this.
I thought others might be to and so thought I would share my findings. I have been advised by the lawyer Orlin, and double checked on the internet, that the BULSTAT registration is applied for on purchase of property as mandatory and there are no further costs in relation to this (unless another property is purchased, and then it will need to be udated).
Orlin has also advised me of my BULSTAT number, which he said you need if you want to rent, and also put the card in the post for me.
Hope this helps if anyone was concerned
