Just when you thought i'd got enough info from you guys to sort my problems, new ones pop up, yay.

Everythings fitted into the case, screwed in and strapped down (kinda)
anyway, so I plug it into the wall screew the monitor in, press the power button and as I dance around the room from the happiness that the PC actually starts up and doesn't blow up or start to smoke I realise that the monitor is very blank, infact, nothings on it at all. So I jiggle a few cables around, press a few buttons and decide to try it on my other monitor, but nothings shows up on that either (so, it's not the monitors fault)

I then move onto my CD drives, the led on one of them is on, but on my 'tested' dvd drive, nothings on, they both have ide cables and a power plug inserted into the correct ports in the back of the drives (if i'd got them wrong i'd be wrorried)

Anyway, one drive has a light on, the other one doesn't and neither of them open when the eject buttons pressed.

so, has anyone got any ideas of whats happening please? it's not the power, the DVD drive did work when I put it in another PC
