If a player uses his elbow in any way against an opposing player during a match he deserves to get sent-off - and that's something most refferees have been aware of for years now. But obviously not the guy who reffed the match on Wednesday!

Any bit of off-the-ball stupidity deserves a red card - just like when Rio clipped the back of that wimp's head a while back, and he only got a yellow.
He should have been off. the scoreline would have been even more amusing then.
