If a player uses his elbow in any way against an opposing player during a match he deserves to get sent-off - and that's something most refferees have been aware of for years now. But obviously not the guy who reffed the match on Wednesday!
Newcastle were well-beaten too!

I can't believe he got away with it in the game. It was not subtle, nor was it provoked. He simply lashed out in frustration, and got away with it through force of personality.

Havn't yet seen anything of the Newcastle match, but what I heard is that it was a very dirty match.
