If this is true it is pretty lame of them.Apparently GAME and Gamestation managers have been told to 'top up' their Wii and Xbox 360 stock by getting them from rival Sainsbury's while their sales promotion was running (examples : 360 Arcade was £100,Wii £150).The net result was customers in some areas have been unable to benefit from this deal as GAME and Gamestation managers had bought any available stock.Even if Sainsbury's were losing money on the promotion (wouldn't be the first time a hyper has done that) its pretty lame to attempt to control the market in this way IMO.Source of the story : Here

So come Christmas if your kids want a 360 or a Wii head down to GAME or Gamestation and get an ex-Sainsbury's console bundled with a pile of overpriced crap you didn't really want!.

I would have thought this would be against the anti-competition trade laws that protect customers.

On the one hand it's fine, they're all trying to stay in business after all.

But yet again it's the consumer that loses. Sainsburys should have really had a one per customer rule.
