I'm going to reinstall XP soon (10th time now), as I can't find the solution to an annoying slowdown when my system starts up - but I would lose a lot of updates if I did. I know that unfinished updates from the Microsoft site is stored in the Temp Internet files, but what about the complete ones? Cheers for any help.

Similar thing, everytime I download something off the web I put it into a "downloads" folder for safe keeping and either delete or burn it to cd after installing (depending if I think I will need it in the future)
I have lost count the number of times I have downloaded Kazaa and things like that.

Good old Microsoft.
