Firstly when I switch on the laptop, I get scandisk every single time "due to errors logging off" - not sure why since I always log off correctly? anyway, if SD runs it gets jammed after 7 clusters have been checked and it makes this strange noise.
SO..
I thought id try using scandisk when im in windows (millenium) to see if I can cure this problem, I tried it..
Again 7 clusters later the HD stops making the constant 'busy noise' and makes this slow ticking noise..
it then gives me this information:
"ScanDisk detected an error while reading your drive. ScanDisk will correct this error later. However, other errors may remain on your drive when ScanDisk is done. After the thorough test is complete, perform a standard test on this drive to ensure that all errors are corrected."
Then SD restarts and goes up to 7 clusters and then the above message appears...
and on and on and....
you get the picture?
I also get the same ticking sound when I load up Photosuite III SE and that application stops working.
Anyone know whats going on here and how to solve it cause SD seems to be stuck in a loop!
Cheers
Neo.
