I have a problem with my copy of Nero, every couple of days it comes up with a message saying the file is corrupted, I uninstall, reinstall and Bob's your uncle then two days later it starts all over again, it is getting boring now.
Some sort of virus seems to be eating away at Nero but nothing else. Now I need a free virus checker, which one do you use/suggest ?

That'll be AVG then.
Be careful with the free stuff. I remember when I first had the internet I installed a free virus checker. I then had a copy of norton a few months later and did a virus scan, and it turned out that the free virus checker was a virus or trojan of some sort. Best really to get a proper virus checker like norton, or try and find a very good free one, and not something Joe Bloggs has written in his basement.
Yep. AVG is very good, updates itself every few days e.t.c. Can't think of much more you'd want.
AVG Anti-Virus is the best free virus checker on the web. Google.

Go to www.downloads.com the have loads of "free" anti-virus proggy's, if not get something like norton anti-virus it's nice and user friendly and has saved my neck a couple of times.

I don't think thats a virus, same thing happens with my webcam, I install the drivers and software and everything works fine until I boot it and then it doesn't work, in my case it's due to my operating system, I need XP for the camera even though it says it works with Win98.
Try getting a copy of Nero thats for your OS..also, if the error comes up again, write down the details it gives you (usually in a drop down box) and type it into Google, theres a whole catalog of Windows errors on the net and most are very useful, e.g. telling you how to fix them.
