Ok poor game name, but the idea rocks!
Ever wondered how on earth Daphne and Celeste got started (I have!)??? They obviously went to the tone deaf auditions, but hey their rich, I'm not! Anyway what if you could make your own band and then completely rule their life all the way to NO.1 and TV appearences. Think about it, select a maximum of 7 band members or create your own! Then once you've named them, dressed them, decided their attitude etc its time to get some lesson on dancing/singing. I was thinking of having a sort of Parappa The Rapper style for the lessons. Eg If you pump in the right combo of buttons, then your singer hits that high note. Dancing would be the same (possibly with a dance mat??) Anyway when you're a new band that can actually dance and sing you need publicity. This is where I think this game would come into its own. To get publicity....do what you like! You could arrange a press release (boring) or maybe do a bit of appearances etc.
Well you then rule their lives until a gig etc where the old parappa the rapper style kicks in. Situations could include rifts between members (eg Roland borrowed GG's hair roller!), new band members want to join or even a member gets caught by the press having a fight with another bloke!
Anyway tell me what you think and if it is a good idea.
