U2
Britney Spears
Christina Aguilera
Green Day
Tokio Hotel
Rick Astley

Either the 'youth' of today have less taste in music that I first imagined or they are all comedy geniuses. I know what my money is on!

After watching the news this morning it seems that Mr Astley did rather well and picked up this award. Sadly he wasn't there in person to collect it though...

I really liked Joshua Tree, and there's a song called Miss Sarajevo which I love, but that's it for U2 although I did see them live and it was a nice show, nice atmosphere. I wonder how much money Bono actually does give away. Beautiful Day was quite fun too. Can't really think of much else right now.

But yeah, I get the feeling that everyone but Rick has been voted for seriously. And yes, Jubba, as far as I'm concerned all those acts should be in it, but well, it's a Democracy of limited taste it seems, and I'm just glad the people inside the internet managed to get Rick Astley up there

Not because he deserves it at all, but because it's a nice middle finger up to the lack of a decent variety in this list. I voted for Rick four times.

Make that 4. U2 have never been better than good and that was around The Joshua Tree era when their stuff actually had some meaning. I'm fairly confident their last album mentioned coke or pepsi in the lyrics. The dirty sellouts.
Still they'll never be as bad as Bon Jovi.
Anyway this whole list is clearly a joke, crystalised by the inclusion of Rick Astley.

Well, I wouldn't say Metallica are these days in terms of what they release.

But in terms of influence in Metal though, ignoring Black Sabbath, Judas Priest or Venom would be utterly mindless. Maiden are utterly incredible live though, way ahead of so money other bands.

I like some U2 songs, but I can't really stand the band. As for Oasis, yeah, I know what you mean. Some songs have grown on me, but others just all sound the same.

Woah !,I thought I was the only person in the world who thought that,now I know there are at least two of us !.Oasis are another band who are ridiculously overrated IMO.I got dragged to see them in the mid 90's and really couldn't see anything special about them whatsoever,they bored the crap out of me.

I think they perhaps mis-read the title.

'best act to most likely never get awarded with anything' perhaps? Or 'best act like we have no music taste'?
