I've just been working on a basic image in MS paint. However, I've tried saving it and was given the message 'Out of memory'.
I tried copying the image into MS Photo Edit, just to save it, and was given the messahe 'not enough memory'.
Is this a RAM thing??? As have loads of that (512MB) so don't think it is, so does anyone know if there is another reason for this???

I find that, if the PCs been on all day and it's been working hard then it usually starts messing around with no memory errors, reboot and all will be well.
Yeah, I would say you were out of memory. Windows eats memory over time, and images (especially from unoptimised programs like Paint) can really eat up RAM.
