Foremans Competition is underway, the first game is Man Utd Vs Newcastle, Predict the right score and double your points and you also lose the amount you bet if you predict the score incorrectly. There is a 10 point bonus on top of their bet for anyone who predicts a correct high scoring game or is only one 1 goal out i.e. 4-2 and it finishes 4-3 etc however there is also a 5 point loss if anyone predicts a 5-0 scoreline and its only 1-0 or 2-0 etc.
Anyone who totally loses their points will start on 1 point, you can change your minds once.

I didn't realise the game had a lunchtime kick-off though, so I missed it all (live, anyway). I switched on my radio at work at 3 to here all the other matches, and then heard the result from this one, and couldn't believe it!!

But when I saw the highlights, I realised it wasn't quite all-that-special, yet it was still a great win for the season.
Both sides defended... not great, I must admit. But when we got the chances we took them very well. And we also appeared to have the most chances in the entire match too, therefore scoring the most goals now we have 2 in the attack instead of 1.5.

And no Veron either! Our midfield look much-stronger without him in that Keane role. Maybe Fergie's starting to realise some things...??

Solsjaer did brilliantly out-wide too, and he did foul Griffin - so that shouldn't have been a goal. Great finnish though.

And Bernard's goal was luck - just like Kewell's a few years back that beat Paul Gerard in-goal for Everton.

But let's be honest - it's as much more to do with a dire (or is that 'Dyer'? :-) Newcastle performance than it is ManYoo doing being anything special.

We only beat them 1-0 the other week, despite it being a very one-sided game in our favour. They were obviously defending far better then than they have today! Their back line is a shambles.

It has to be said that the most outstanding thing about United's performance is that Ruud didn't fall over in the box!
