Acknowledging that VCDs are illegal and should not be endorsed in any way and can be played on any pc/macs using quicktime... does that PS2 have the capabilities of playing VCDs? that PSX had the add-on memory card to allow it to play VCDs, is there/ will there be one for the PS2? is it in development now?
any info would be most appreciated...

well, they come uner the piracy law... although the VCDs are rife in asia, they are still copies of the film not endorsed by the film studios and are illegal...
I got my PS2 today and it doesn't work!!!
when are they going to bring out an adapter for multi region and VCDs???

Why are they illegal? I have a few, bought legally in UK shops, from when I had my CD32.

Anyway, although I haven't tried any of mine, I'm sure I heard that PS2 won't play them.

Anyone else know for sure?
