The first thing to hit you about the concert is the whole atmosphere. Begin the band is a huge screen that has different computer graphics, patterns and lights projected on it throughout. Then there is the lighting - a cluster of strobes, spotlights, and the rest completely fills the hall.
Oh, and then there's the music. Three guitarists (all of which sing), two female backup singers, a drummer and a keyboard player melt the building with their voices. Whereas many other bands are either loud but lose their musical quality, or high quality but fail to fill a venue, Aussie Floyd manage to put on the loudest most explosive music with no loss of music quality. Every word, beat and instrument can be picked out. It really has to be heard to be believed.
Next, the song line up. Starting with Shine on You Crazy Diamonds and working through with hit after hit until the interval, you feel like you've already got your money's worth. But then, out of the blue, the band pulls off a near perfect version of the Fletcher Memorial Home followed by an electric female solo in The Great Gig in the Sky (Do let me know if I got that one wrong!).
Finally, to end the band came back onto stage after an eternity of screaming from the crowd to give us an amazing climax... you'll have to go see them to find out what is was!
