Over the years there have been a fair number of adaptations on the story of the 3 musketeers by Alexander Dumas.
The reason I was reminded about them was because I found a song that reminded me of my personal favourite of the 'genre'.

In most of the films (there are alot of them) the musketeers have been primarily swordsmen as oposed to attacking with their muskets first, I suppose this is because it was seen to be more gentlemanly to fight with swords than charge round with guns and having to refil the muskets everytime they fire one (which wouldn't make as good action sequences otherwise).

Most of the storys revolve around the 3 musketeers: Athos, Porthos and Aramis with D'Artagnan who tags along in hope of becoming one of the kings (Louis the 13th of france I think) musketeers himself, whilst trying to thwart Cardinal Richelieu's plans.

Only 2 films stick in my mind although I think I remember there being more.
The first of the films 'Return of the Musketeers' had Michael York (basil exposition from the austin powers movies) as D'Artagnan and Oliver Reed was in it too. I remember having watched it, but can't remember what happened in it.
The other film (I remember watching this one) was 'The three musketeers' which was a star packed version of the musketeers story- the basic richelieu wants more power so he plots to have the king killed and disbands the musketeers to send them into battle. Tim Curry was excellent as Richelieu along with the rest of the cast.

Anyway moving on there was a cartoon Albert the 5th musketeer, but the king of all was 'Dogtanian and the three Muskahounds' ....
Genius idea - take all the characters and replace them with dogs, give it a good theme tune "one for all and all for one muskahounds are always ready.."
Just finnished watching an episode, it turns out that there were some pigs in it aswell.

I don't think I've ever seen a film but my memory is rather lousy. I remember watching the cartoon though.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
