Ok people, I am doing a huge essay for a unit in my Double AVCE media award at college on the Representation of Crime (I choose it).

I would like to have everyone's opinion on how they feel crime is represented by the newspapers and media's of the world that you are subject to. I will use quotes and obviously use it as primary research.

Please help :)

Also, if anyone has ANY facts on this social issue?

Crime is displayed, in my view, fairly glamourously. Okay, so you hear on the news about people being shot or mass robberies, but it is fairly glamourised.

Take games for example. Like GTA, it's fun, and no-one can ever say they've just been nice all the time, everyone ahs done something immoral or twisted at some time.

And films, like Pulp Fiction and Snatch, which portray gangsters as living the high life and being well off. I'm sure more than a few people think being a gangster would be a cool job. And then they all look really cool. That makes you think "I want to be like them", so kids start off performing acts such as shoplifting to try and be minor Gangsters, and hang around in agngs and get itno fight. By the time they are 20, they're criminal record and truancy from school will disquailfy them from any well-paying job. So, I think it ruins lives to some effect.

I think TV does not show the bad stuff as much as it should. Okay, the look cool, are rich and are really hard and know what to say to make themselves look cool, but how many on-screen criminals die as a ratio to how many rela criminals end up dead or with a bad life.

Anyway, my views. If you want to credit me in your essay, give me a fairly immature yet so amusing name. Like Master Bating. Or something.

No, its for my quantitative research, just like asking a questionnaire only I have to present it to an audience so with this method of asking you forum users it will be completely original.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Many thanks!!
Registered my website with Freeola Sites on Tuesday. Now have full and comprehensive Google coverage for my site. Great stuff!!
