At present however, I must admit I am a little underwhelmed. I got SSX and raved about it for a while but I must admit that after a week I was bored with it. It looks beautiful but I just dont find it that much fun to play.
I have been awaiting my copy of ISS that I won here but unfortunately it has been semt to the wrong address so I am trying to get my hands on it still. I wish I had it as I have played the demo over and over and it is brilliant.
I got rid of SSX at the weekend and got FIFA 2001 instead as I am desperate for a footie game to play and ISS should turn up one day!! It looks beautiful but as usual it is much too easy to score.
So even though I love the machine my grumble is the lack of decent software at the moment. But, with Onimusha, the Bouncer, GT3 etc just around the corner I am looking forward to the good times.
I can understand the Dreamcast owners defending their machine though as on the PS2's current showing the Dreamcast has the upper hand.
That said, I still wouldnt swap my PS2 for a Dreamcast.
And on the DVD issue, a DVD has not been within 50 feet of my machine so far and probably wont until I can afford to buy the Aliens box set.
Unlike the Japanese, if English gamers want a DVD player they buy one!!! and not a PS2.
