Whatever leads Link (from the Legend of Zelda games) to believe that after finishing a quest, he should just get rid of all of his useful items?
Bow? No won't need that anymore, leave that behind. Hookshot? That'll never be any more use. Then when he finds himself on another quest he begins with next to nothing! Doh!
Also, it means that only one of these games need to be a true classic. The rest can be just above average games and people will buy them to get the secret bits on the best one.
What's more, if one of them was a platformer, someone who would normally ignor a platformer on being childish would buy it just to get the secret levels.
That way you can sell games to people who wouldn't normally buy them!
Say I've made 3 games.
If you beat game 1 then a bonus game opens on game 2.
Beating that bonus game unlocks a new level on game 1.
Beating that secret level unlocks a new character on game 3.
Finishing the game with the secret character will unlock a new secret on game 2...
etc...
That way, people will have more incentive to buy and finish my games. It'll be the only way to unlock all those secrets.
And if I link up 5 games in this way then 5 x £30 = £150.
So every loyal gamer will pay me £150!
Actually, that's not a bad idea you have there. It could be interesting going back through the forum and unvieling any 'mystery' posters like this....
