Today, I will compare two fairly recent PS2 titles, with two old PS1 titles.
Final fantasy 7-9 (Any of them can be used)with Final fantasy X-2 and Smackdown just bring it, with Smackdown vs. Raw 2006.
First, in FF7, you had a great story, a brilliant soundtrack, and tons of gameplay time and extras. All of this, from leveling up, to getting that dream gold chocobo, took me 3 months.3. I started when I was 9, a bit before april, and finished when I was 10, in July. I think I spent a week leveling up, getting Knights of the round and killing Emerald weapon.
X-2 took me about 2 weeks, the sound made me want to kill myself, and extras that I just didn't feel like doing.
Big difference, Square, wake the hell up. I want longer titles, with extras that I really want to do.
Next, Smackdown Just bring it and Smackdown vs. Raw 2006.
If I remember correctly, the season in the former took me a month.
And they even made a two player option, which took another month for me and my brother with Jeff and Matt.
They had brilliant storylines, the first one for instance was about stone cold and the rock, it might have involved HHH. This made me want to win, because at 7, I hated the "Big bad guys". Now you have 3-4 stories in 2006, and no two player.
What I really think now though is, that the developers are spending too much of there time with graphics.
Views if you want.
I should probabley say that I might be right about Smackdown just bring it, so long since i played it.
> It's called Smackdown 2.
Was it? I thought it had a name to it.
Saints Row was bugged to high heaven full of glitches, but then it is quite a big game and has to do many things at once so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt, however it is quite troubling, i just hope it was a one off (GTA3 was pretty darn buggy but the majority seemed to be ironed out by VC and SA) and Voliton were just getting used to the hardware.
