Mind you, neither was Fight Club. The movie was, but the book was a bit dull.
I find myself thinking "I dont care" when he keeps talking about his mum and the mental old people and the stuff in the theme park makes me yawn.
I've stopped reading Choke for now and have moved onto Survivor.
It seems a bit better, but as I read I keep hearing Edward Norton's voice in my head.
Not my normal choice for a book. I got it in HMV as part of their "2 books for a tenner" thing they've got going on, and Grix had been raving about it.
I think it's a little weird, but good all the same.
Survivor's good though, but I saw the main character as Billy Bob Thornton. Actually, there's a good interview with Chuck Pahluniak (whatever) on The Onion's AV Club website, including an interesting Margaret Thatcher anecdote.
