Why can't I send any emails using NTL?

It always says about the name being refused by the server?

Help!

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'PS', Account: 'pop.freeserve.net', Server: 'smtp.freeserve.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 relaying to prohibited by administrator', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Arrrrrgh!

Yeah, you can still use your freeserve account 100%, but they won't let you use their SMTP servers - you have to use the ones provided by your ISP.

Well, actually you have to use either ones supplied by your ISP (smtp.ntlworld.com probably), a public one (rar and crap) or a personal one like me and Andi do. But in reality you have to use the one supplied by your ISP.

Note, there's no difference between using Freeserve or NTL's SMTP servers, with the one exception that NTL's are the only ones that will work :D

So even if I want to access my Freeserve emails I have got to change it to that?

I've got the NTL account on it's own now but the others can receive emails but I can't send them!

Your problem is you're using smtp.freeserve.net as an SMTP server. This just will not work.

You need to change the server information for *all* of your accounts to use smtp.ntlworld.com (or maybe mail.ntlworld.com) for their SMTP servers. Yes I know it's a pain.

Yeah ive had this problem before but unlike you i kept trying to send and it finally worked.

I noticed it only happened tho when i was trying to reply to their message, not by creating a new email.

I just added NTL to its own username and deleted the old one and it all works now!
