Well, OK, not all of it does.

I don’t really want to do a track by track listing, because they're boring. All you can say is 'I like this one. The drum machine kicks in at 1.30, and then it gets faster and stuff', which is useless to people who already know the music, and equally useless to those that don’t. So I intend just to go on until I run out of stuff to say.

I don't listen to trance / dance. In fact, I have no idea which one is which. Both conjure up images of strobe lighting, glowsticks, and 'big fish little fish cardboard box' being performed by a crowd of people in Adidas gear. I've never been to a club, so I have no idea if I'd like dancing to it or not. That is still to come in the future.

So I'm making my judgements upon the musics quality for listening to at home.

Oh yeah - by the way, I'm talking about the CD that Your Honour sent me. It's basicly Aphex Twin / Minister / Lamb / Bonobo / Fila Brazzillia / Saint Germain. Which probably wont ring any bells.

Overall, I think I like it more than I thought I would. As background music, it's decent - very good for cooking to. It's the kind of stuff you can have running in the background pretty much anywhere. It's disposable. It's not attention demanding - put this on in a shop and people will notice there is music playing, but they probably wont pay much attention to it. This is a good or bad thing, depending on circumstance.
For example, if I want something to put on at a party, or something to properly listen to, then I wouldn't use this CD.

There are a couple of noteable exceptions. Crystal Ambiance and Listener by Minister is going to make an appearance while a group of people are intaking herbs on Saturday. It's good stuff - kinda washes over you. I like that - I'll probably invest in a Minister album for such occaisions. I can also imagine it being good for when you get back from the pub or wherever and you want something chilled.

That's a good description. The chilled stuff on here is good, the faster stuff isn't.

Gorecki by Lamb. That, I like a lot. That is one of those tracks that you insist upon playing to all of your friends. I'm not sure if the vocals are a sample or whatever, but they are fantastic. I'll probably end up with a Lamb album.

Yeah, so I like some of the music. Thankyou very much, YH. Your CD will be made when I get round to it.

Cheese, some good news mate, you won't need to buy a Minister album, just go to:

www.mp3.com/minister and you can download all 39 of his tracks for free, and legally.

Don't worry about thanking me :-)
