Has anybody heard this CD?

I've heard it loads of times but my Dad's playing it now and it's actualy really good when you listen to the story...

It's basically a story of a bunch of martians coming from Mars and killing lots of people but the story is told as if a person is narrating what he is doing at the time and what is happening...

If you've got it or know anybody who has it, listen to it!

Its weally weally good!

The summer sun is fading as the year grows old
And darker days are drawing near
The winter winds will be much colder
Now you're not here

Brings a tear to the eye that...until I listen to the Martians Remix on the Special Edition 1996 version of the album....

I asked Ladbrokes what the chances were of anything coming from Mars and they said it was about 170,000,000-1.

Therefore book/film/song lied to us and I have spent all those sleepless vigils in vain.

I had a cold or flu in the go for the last twenty years too, just in case. I'll never be awarded for my dilligence now.

Despite some people, Sheepy, having to read it for English (which usually spells doom for a book), it's worthing picking up a copy of the original story.

This was the story that inspired the Orson Wells radio play, which had millions of frightened Americans running out in to the streets, thinking that they were under attack from martians. The reason for this was due to the fact that part of the play took the form of a news broadcast and many people tuned in after it had started. Still highly amusing in a gulible American way.

The original film of the book is also worth getting and can be picked up on DVD for a small sum in most shops or on the net. It's a classic piece of Sci-fi that strays slightly from the story, but not too much. The series though....{shudders}

Quality CD, I usually hate "stories with songs in" but this is really groovy.

The game was pants though. The music on the game CD's is good however: a remix of some of the tracks on the original album.

Nope

Read the book a few years ago in English

Thought I had a month to finish it, actually had a week so needed to miss out middle bit and skip ending.

I feel guilty
