Well, most of them can't tell their @rse from their elbow, and they certainly can't tell the difference between allied and friendly troops, so are you *really* surprised?

Quite right too.
I am English - as you've probably guessed from the earlier post - and it annoys ME when people confuse the terms.
With regard to the original post, though - it could just be that jonnym only intended to refer to England, and not the UK as a whole. A bit strange, as the delays affected all of us, but possible nonetheless.
Anyway in february I went to the US and they all were telling me that Wales was on the outskirts of London!
How wrong could anyone get?
I suppose then, by those rules, an English name would be Knob.
