Have you noticed the popularity of a certain 32 bit console? Now, don't get me wrong Playstations are a cheaper way of having fun than the N64 (DK64 £70 when it came out?) but they lack Nintendos magic. The games are fun especialy my fave Fifa 2001. I own an N64
and know that it is one of the best consoles created. The cartridges are bulky and expensive but on the bright side don't get
scratched and don't need boxes. Playstations 32 bit technology is
shadowed by Shigeru Miyamotos own 64 and the big N have brought it all the way from 8 bit (NES) The new Gameboy Advance has 32 bits as wel is about an 8th of the playstation and guess what? Its Nintendoes! But for Playstations, Dreamcasts N64s and all other console we just have to thank a certain mathmaticion. He invented Tetris the most adictive game ever (Try to beat my score of 378 lines) Without that the big N would not have enough money for the N64 which means sony wouldn't create the playstations to compete with nintendo and sega wouldn't get in the buisness and don't forget Pokemon! Thats right no pokemon! no pokemon thats right. just thank that man again and play your good play stations your better N64s your dreamcasts playstation 2s and your gamecubes. Just don't forget who its all down to.
Final score Playstation 7 out of 10 N64 9 out of 10 and the same for both PS2 an DC as N64.

Why the heck is that grey box selling more units than any other console on the market i mean look at it, its 32 bit which means the graphics arent really much to look at, theres only two control ports which means the multiplayer sucks to be honest, take a look at the best games on the system smackdown 2, metal gear solid, medal of honor, grand turismo 2 etc etc. All the games that i just listed are either sequels or have a sequel coming out for them. When are sony gonna take a leaf out of Nintendos book and start producing original games. Okay so maybe metal gear solid was original but thats the only game on the playstation that i would ever even think about buying, All the other games are just rehashed sequels. Okay so maybe the sounds better, i say maybe because the only part of the sound thats better is the voices and the music but lets face if dont like the music on the N64 then just put a Cd on and who cares about the voices because i would rather have gameplay than an interactive movie. Theres also the subject of the game prices but as i said earlier i would rather pay £50 for perfect Dark which so far has lasted me 6 months and im still playing it, than pay £30 for metal gear solid which at most would probably last maybe 2 weeks maximum.

ONE shelf of N64 stuff. 2 PS2, plus a big area around the counter. 4 PS, 2 GBC, 2 Dreamcast, the latter 3 each with a couple of freestanding units loaded with accessories. Also PC stuff dotted about everywhere. The consoles set up for customers to play on, one PS2, one Dreamcast.
Whatever the argument about quality of hardware, games, potential and the rest of it (and argument I think is easily won by N64), you can't argue with a sorry looking token pile of games stuffed in at the far corner of the store. None but the loyal Nintendo faithful seem to give a damn any more. Despite looking like an outsider to the informed eye in the fight for sales, so far as N64 vs Playstation goes, the public have decided a long time ago, and Nintendo lose.

I think Both machines are great, Nintendo has the worlds most popular machine under its belt Gameboy, and Hopefully Gameboy advance will sell well too...giving Nintendo the muscle and the money to push up the sales of the Gamecube. My advice to Nintendo, take a note from Sonys book, get a link cable that allows the Gameboy advance to communicate with the Gamecube, so Subgames can be downloaded from the Gamecube to the advance and youll be onto a certified winner!
your right N64s are great for multiplayer games, Perfect Dark is superb but Sony has good games too, particularly in the last 2 years WWF Smackdown2, Smash Court Tennis 2 and Quake 2 on the Playstation have proven that sporting multiplayers can be good on the playstation too. Not to mention ISS Pro.

I have always said to my friends who were idciding what to once get, (PSX or N64) and as i had an N64 i was trying to make them go out and buy a N64, but no, all my friends seen Metal gear and bought PSX's, Probally that or it is because they are all poor. So i was the only one with a N64. They would all say PSX is better (they have FMV movies, raa raa raa, it went on for ages.) then out came Perfect dark, they all wanted to play it, 2 of my freinds went and sold their playstation and bought an N64 just for Perfect dark. As time went on more games have been on he list for release and they get better each time. Overall PLaysations are worse and N64 are the best what ever way you look at it.
