I'm running Windows XP and in the task amanger is something called System Idle Process which is usually around 99 on CPU usuage. What is it? And should it be that high?

You need to be carefull it's not *actually* using the CPU though.

The system idle process is a single thread that runs on each processor and totals up all the free time that the processor isn't being used. So it isn't a problem and dosn't affect the performance of your PC. In the taks manager click the performance tab, Is it normal?
