I've got 2 fans, dvd and an hdd running off the psu..along with the motherboard (obviously) it's a 300w psu...
anyone knows whats going on?
There was a 5A fuse in the plug, changed it to a 13A to see if it would make any difference, but it doesn't.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks.
If you want to power up an atx power supply without having to have it plugged into the motherboard all you have to do is connect the green (sometimes grey) wire with a black wire and this will power up the PSU this way you can check all voltages are fine on the PSU with a multimeter, but you will not need to do this probably becuase it sounds like a faulty fan.
c.b.
One more thing, I tried it when it was all put together (apart from the case fans) and it stayed on, I put the fans in and it kept shutting down.
The fans are setup correctly though and i'd have thought 300w would be enough for 2.. :/
