yesterday my laptop email kept asking for my username and password - so in the end I had to re install all my email accounts, today my desktop is doing the same ting as is my wifes desktop - I am thinking that this is a Windows Vista problem caused by an update other than a Freeola problem. Anyone else had this problem?

Right I get you now!

If it is a Vista update then they'll be a lot of affected people out there...

:) thats a website confussed .com lol OK yeah its my freeola email accounts (thats all I have) but the problem is not at Freeolas end its on our computers, Windows mail has lost all the passwords - Tools -Accounts - Mail - Properties. The username is in place (sr*********-**** eg) but where the passwords should be are all blank. Simply re entering the password here does not help we have had to remove the accounts and import the backup IAFs from the pen drive, is that clearer?

Once backed up all are working again - thats why I think its been an update fault and not a freeola fault

Naw it cant be Freeola problem - it happened on Sunday night with my laptop I fixed that yesterday, and today it was mine and my wifes desktops that were affected, what happens is that Windows Mail has lossed all the passwords, and re entering them appears not to help, I have all my email accounts backed up on a pen drive, I had to remove them from windows mail then import the back ups from the Pen drive and all was well again - I will check freeola status page but am sure its a indows update problem thats causing this

Hi Digi,
No problems here; but I don't use my Vista PC for emails - so I'm not really helping much ;¬)

Usually when you keep getting asked for user/password it's down to your providers email server misbehaving. Have you checked the providers status page for problems?

Best to stick with Freeola I find :¬)
